    Terms of Service

    1️⃣ Reservation Guidelines

    1. Product Information

    1. This product is confirmed on a first-come, first-served basis according to the order of reservation and payment. After the deposit is made, our staff will contact you individually.
    2. The selected schedule may be changed or canceled due to weather conditions or local circumstances.
    3. Please make sure to check the itinerary and travel information for your destination before booking and departure.
    4. This product is a package tour intended for group travel, and travelers are required to actively cooperate with the travel agency to maintain order during the trip.
    5. All products of Cltoo are subject to the standard terms and conditions and special terms of the Republic of Korea for domestic and international travel.

    2. Health Information

    • Before traveling, please check the website of the Korea Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (www.cdc.go.kr) for information on diseases that are currently prevalent or that require caution in your travel destination.

    3. Overseas Safety Travel Information

    • The Ministry of Foreign Affairs' Overseas Safe Travel website (www.0404.go.kr) provides information on the risk level, safety measures, and behavioral guidelines for each country or region.

    4. Accommodation Information

    • Standard Twin Room or Standard Double Room
    • Subject to change depending on local conditions.

    5. Fuel Surcharge

    • Fuel Surcharge (FUEL SURCHARGE):

    In accordance with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport’s “Expansion Plan for International Airfare and Fuel Surcharge” considering international oil prices and airline operating conditions, fuel surcharges are subject to increase or decrease without prior notice. If the fuel surcharge increases after the product launch date, the increased amount must be paid separately from the product price.

    Article 12 (Changes in Travel Fees)

    1. In the event that the transportation or accommodation fees to be paid for international travel increase or decrease by more than 5% compared to the time of contract, or the foreign exchange rate applied to the travel fee changes by more than 2% compared to the time of contract, the company or the traveler may claim the increased or decreased amount from the other party within the range of such change.
    2. If the company increases the travel fee pursuant to Paragraph 1, it must notify the traveler at least 15 days before the departure date.

    2️⃣ Travel Terms and Conditions

    Article 1 (Purpose)

    The purpose of these Terms and Conditions is to stipulate detailed implementation and compliance matters of the overseas travel contract concluded between Cltoo (hereinafter referred to as the “Travel Agency”) and the traveler.

    Article 2 (Definitions)

    The types and definitions of travel and overseas travel agency services are as follows:

    1. Planned Travel: Travel in which the travel agency determines in advance the destination, sightseeing itinerary, transportation and accommodation services (hereinafter referred to as “travel services”) to be provided to the traveler, and the travel fee, and then recruits travelers by advertising or other means.
    2. Customized Travel: Travel in which the travel agency plans and conducts the overall itinerary including transportation, accommodation, and sightseeing in accordance with the travel conditions requested by the traveler (individual or group).
    3. Overseas Travel Procedure Agency (hereinafter referred to as the “Procedure Agency Contract”): An agreement in which the travel agency, upon receiving a fixed service fee, acts on behalf of the traveler to perform the following tasks (hereinafter referred to as “Procedure Agency Services”):
    1. Procedures for obtaining visas, re-entry permits, and various certificates
    2. Preparation of entry/exit documents and other related tasks

    Article 3 (Obligations of the Travel Agency and the Traveler)

    1. The travel agency shall faithfully perform its duties in planning and executing travel arrangements, including guidance, transportation, and accommodation, to provide the traveler with safe and satisfactory travel services.
    2. The traveler shall actively cooperate with the travel agency to maintain travel order and harmony among travelers for a safe and enjoyable journey.

    Article 4 (Composition of the Contract)

    1. The travel contract consists of the travel contract form (attached), these Terms and Conditions, and the itinerary (or travel description).
    2. The travel contract form shall include the travel agency’s trade name, location, and details of subscription to guarantee insurance pursuant to Article 9 of the Tourism Promotion Act (or the status of business security deposit).
    3. The itinerary (or travel description) shall include daily schedules, destinations, sightseeing details, transportation means, shopping frequency, accommodation, meals, travel services provided by the agency, and traveler precautions.

    Article 5 (Refusal to Conclude a Contract)

    The travel agency may refuse to conclude a contract with a traveler if any of the following apply:

    1. If individual care is required due to illness, physical abnormality, etc., or if the traveler is deemed to significantly hinder the smooth execution of a group tour (e.g., inconveniencing other travelers)
    2. If the maximum number of participants specified in the contract has been exceeded

    Article 6 (Special Agreements)

    The travel agency and the traveler may make a special written agreement (including electronic documents) within the limits not violating related laws. In this case, the travel agency must explain to the traveler that the special terms differ from and take precedence over the standard terms, and obtain separate confirmation.


    Article 7 (Provision of Contract and Safety Information)

    If the travel agency concludes a travel contract with the traveler, it must provide each party with a copy of the contract, these Terms and Conditions, and the itinerary (or travel description), as well as safety information regarding the travel destination. Any changes to safety information before departure must also be provided.


    Article 8 (Deemed Delivery of Contract and Terms)

    The contract, Terms and Conditions, and itinerary (or travel description) shall be deemed delivered in the following cases:

    1. When the traveler applies for the travel contract after agreeing online to the contract, Terms and Conditions, and itinerary provided electronically, and the travel agency notifies acceptance via electronic or mechanical means
    2. When the traveler applies by sending a signed document agreeing to the contents provided by the travel agency via fax or other mechanical means, and the travel agency notifies acceptance via electronic or mechanical means

    Article 9 (Travel Agency Liability)

    The travel agency shall be liable for any damage caused to the traveler from the time of departure until arrival if such damage is due to intent or negligence by the agency itself, its employees, local agencies, or their employees in relation to the duties stipulated in Article 3(1).

    However, the travel agency acts only as an agent for booking flights and accommodation and is not liable for defects, delays, or failures inherent to the transportation or accommodation facilities themselves. Costs incurred due to force majeure during the trip shall be borne by the traveler.

    1. Travel Agency Responsibility:
    • Errors in transportation booking and confirmation (e.g., incorrect departure date or flight booking)
    • Errors in accommodation booking and confirmation (e.g., incorrect dates or length of stay)
    1. Exemptions:
    • Defects or failures of transportation means causing delays or cancellations (claims must be made directly to the transportation provider)
    • Defects in accommodation facilities causing damage, injury, or changes (claims must be made directly to the accommodation provider)
    • Accidents during free time outside the guided portion of the trip (e.g., free travel, optional tours, or activities like swimming or paragliding) after prior warning by the agency and on-site guide
    • Optional activities or schedules not included in the original itinerary, even if assisted by the agency at the traveler’s request
    • Force majeure such as natural disasters, war, terrorism, government orders, strikes, or business closures of service providers—additional local costs (accommodation, meals, flights) shall be paid by the traveler at local rates
    • Damages to transportation or accommodation caused by traveler negligence—traveler must compensate according to provider’s policy
    • Health-related issues undisclosed before travel or failure to bring necessary medication—costs borne by traveler; the agency will assist with necessary arrangements but is not liable

    Article 10 (Traveler's Liability)

    1. The traveler shall be liable for any damage caused to the travel agency if such damage is due to the traveler’s intent or negligence.
    2. The traveler shall be responsible for managing personal safety and belongings during the trip.
    3. The traveler shall follow local laws, customs, and the guidance of the tour conductor or local staff to maintain order and safety.

    Article 11 (Payment of Travel Fee)

    1. The traveler shall pay the travel deposit specified in the contract at the time of application, and the balance shall be paid by the date designated by the travel agency.
    2. If the traveler fails to pay the travel deposit or balance within the designated period, the travel agency may terminate the contract.

    Article 12 (Change of Travel Fee)

    1. If, during the execution of an overseas trip, the cost payable to transportation or accommodation providers changes by more than 5% from the contract date, or if the exchange rate applied to the travel fee changes by more than 2%, either party may request an adjustment of the travel fee within the range of the increased or decreased amount.
    2. If the travel agency increases the travel fee under paragraph 1, it shall notify the traveler at least 15 days before departure.

    Article 13 (Change of Contract Contents)

    If unavoidable circumstances arise during the trip, the travel agency may change the itinerary, transportation, accommodation, or other services for the safety and convenience of the traveler, and must explain the reason to the traveler without delay.


    Article 14 (Transfer of Contract)

    The traveler may, with the consent of the travel agency, transfer their travel contract rights and obligations to another person. In this case, the travel agency may charge the actual costs incurred due to the transfer.


    Article 15 (Cancellation and Refund Policy)

    1. If the traveler cancels the trip, the cancellation fee shall be charged according to the standard terms and conditions of the Republic of Korea or the special terms of the product.
    2. If the trip is canceled due to the travel agency’s fault, the traveler shall receive a full refund without penalty.
    3. If the trip is canceled due to force majeure (natural disasters, war, government orders, etc.), actual expenses already paid to service providers may be deducted from the refund.

    Article 16 (Termination of Contract Before Departure)

    1. Either the travel agency or the traveler may terminate this travel contract before departure. In such cases, any damages incurred will be compensated in accordance with the “Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards” (as announced by the Fair Trade Commission).
    2. When the traveler requests to terminate the travel contract (Traveler’s Cancellation Request):
    • 1. Cancellation notified up to 30 days before departure date: Full refund of deposit
    • 2. Cancellation notified 29–20 days before departure: Compensation of 10% of the travel fee
    • 3. Cancellation notified 19–10 days before departure: Compensation of 15% of the travel fee
    • 4. Cancellation notified 9–8 days before departure: Compensation of 20% of the travel fee
    • 5. Cancellation notified 7–1 days before departure: Compensation of 30% of the travel fee
    • 6. Cancellation notified on the day of departure: Compensation of 50% of the travel fee
    1. When the travel agency cancels the trip due to reasons attributable to the agency (Compensation for Damages):
    • 1. Notice given up to 30 days before departure: Full refund of deposit
    • 2. Notice given 29–20 days before departure: Compensation of 10% of the travel fee
    • 3. Notice given 19–10 days before departure: Compensation of 15% of the travel fee
    • 4. Notice given 9–8 days before departure: Compensation of 20% of the travel fee
    • 5. Notice given 7–1 days before departure: Compensation of 30% of the travel fee
    • 6. Notice given on the day of departure: Compensation of 50% of the travel fee
    • In cases of unavoidable cancellations due to force majeure such as natural disasters, war, government orders, strikes or shutdowns of transportation/accommodation providers, which prevent the fulfillment of the trip purpose — Full refund of deposit.
    1. Either party may terminate the travel contract before departure without paying the compensation specified in Paragraph 1 if any of the following applies:
    2. Cases in which the travel agency may cancel:
    • a. Cases falling under Article 12 Paragraph 1 Subparagraphs 1 and 2
    • b. When it is deemed that the traveler causes significant inconvenience to other travelers or severely interferes with the smooth execution of the trip
    • c. When the traveler becomes physically unable to participate in the trip due to illness, etc.
    • d. When the traveler fails to pay the travel fee by the deadline stated in the contract
    1. Cases in which the traveler may cancel:
    • a. Cases falling under Article 12 Paragraph 1 Subparagraphs 1 and 2
    • b. When the travel agency has not subscribed to the compensation fund or guarantee insurance required under Article 21, or has not deposited the business guarantee amount
    • c. When the traveler’s relative within the third degree of kinship passes away (Supporting documents required: proof of kinship, medical certificate or death certificate, and other necessary documents)
    • d. When the traveler becomes physically unable to participate in the trip due to illness (Supporting documents required: medical certificate and other necessary documents)
    • e. When the traveler’s spouse or direct ascendant/descendant is hospitalized for more than 3 days due to physical illness and cannot be discharged before departure, and the traveler is the spouse or guardian (Supporting documents required: proof of kinship, medical certificate, and other necessary documents)
    • f. When it becomes impossible to conduct the trip according to the schedule stated in the contract or itinerary due to reasons attributable to the travel agency
    • g. When the increase in travel fees under Article 10 Paragraph 1 makes it difficult to continue the trip

    Article 17 (Termination Due to Insufficient Minimum Number of Participants)

    1. If the travel agency cancels the trip due to not reaching the minimum number of participants, the agency must notify the traveler at least 7 days before departure.
    2. If the agency fails to notify within the above period and cancels due to insufficient participants, the agency must refund the deposit already received and additionally compensate the traveler as follows:
    • a. Notice given by D-7: Refund of deposit only
    • b. Notice given between D-6 and D-1: Compensation of 30% of the travel fee
    • c. Notice given on the day of departure: Compensation of 50% of the travel fee

    Article 18 (Termination of Contract After Departure)

    1. After departure, either party may terminate the contract if unavoidable circumstances occur. However, if such circumstances are due to the fault of one party, that party must compensate the other for damages.
    2. When the contract is terminated under Paragraph 1, the travel agency responsible for the traveler’s return transportation must arrange the traveler’s return.
    3. Any additional costs arising from such termination shall be borne by the party responsible; if neither party is at fault, both shall share the cost equally.
    4. If there is a significant defect in the trip and it is not remedied, or it becomes impossible to expect performance in accordance with the contract, the traveler may terminate the contract.
    5. If the contract is terminated under Paragraph 4, the travel agency loses the right to claim the travel fee. However, if the traveler has benefited from the portion of the trip already completed, the traveler shall reimburse the agency for such benefits.
    6. In the event of termination under Paragraph 4, the travel agency must take necessary measures resulting from the termination and, if contractually obligated, must transport the traveler back. The agency shall bear the return transportation cost unless there is a valid reason to charge the traveler for part of the cost.
    7. The traveler must inform the travel agency of any personal health conditions that may affect participation in overseas travel, including but not limited to illnesses, mental disorders, depression, allergies, or past surgeries. If the traveler participates despite a doctor’s opinion advising against it, fails to inform the agency, provides false information, or fails to bring prescribed medication, and such actions cause inconvenience to other travelers or hinder the smooth progress of the trip, the contract may be terminated. In such cases, the traveler shall bear all expenses required for returning home and may be liable for damages to the agency if found responsible.
    8. For safe travel, travelers must follow all notices and guidance provided (via online, email, SMS, orientation materials, or by the tour leader). Any behavior that causes disruption to the trip or inconvenience to others (including verbal/physical abuse, sexual harassment, property damage, excessive drinking, violence, or threats) may result in contract termination and refusal to continue participation. In such cases, the traveler shall bear all costs for return and no travel fees will be refunded. If the traveler’s actions cause significant damage to the agency and responsibility is confirmed, the traveler must compensate for the damages.

    Article 19 (Commencement and Termination of Travel)

    Travel commences upon completion of check-in (or embarkation for ships) and terminates when the traveler exits the bonded area of the arrival hall upon return. If domestic transportation is included in the contract, travel starts and ends according to the departure and arrival times of the first domestic transport. For local joining programs or trips without included airfare, the following applies:

    1. Local joining program:
    • Start: Upon meeting the tour leader at the local airport arrival area or designated accommodation
    • End: Upon completing check-in for the return flight at the local airport, or after the last meeting with the tour leader at the accommodation on the final day
    1. Programs with individually arranged flights:
    • Start: Upon meeting the tour leader at the local airport arrival area or designated accommodation
    • End: Upon checking out from the accommodation on the return date, or after the last meeting with the tour leader

    Article 20 (Duty to Explain)

    The travel agency must explain to the traveler important contract terms and any changes thereto in a manner that the traveler can understand.


    Article 21 (Insurance Coverage, etc.)

    The travel agency must subscribe to insurance, mutual aid, or deposit a business guarantee to compensate travelers for damages arising in connection with the trip.


    Article 22 (Miscellaneous)

    1. Any matters not specified in this contract or disputes regarding interpretation shall be resolved by mutual agreement between the agency and the traveler; if no agreement is reached, relevant laws and general customs shall apply.
    2. In the case of travel to special areas with justifiable reasons, terms different from this standard agreement may be applied.
    3. The headings of each article are for reference only and do not affect interpretation.
    4. The rights to use and the copyright of any photos, videos, or other content taken during the program belong to the travel agency.
    5. In the case of travel to special areas with justifiable reasons, terms different from the agency’s travel agreement may be applied.

    Travel Precautions

    1. The traveler is solely responsible for personal incidents such as loss of passport, wallet, or money.
    2. The destination country does not accept Korean currency; travelers should exchange local currency at a bank before departure.
    3. Not all stores or restaurants accept credit cards; bring sufficient cash.
    4. Bring an appropriate power adapter (110V or 220V) for the destination country.
    5. Check the local weather via online sources before departure.
    6. Seat assignments are at the discretion of the airline. Travelers should request seat selection directly with the airline via online check-in or confirm availability with the reservation agent.
    7. Arrive at the airport at least 2 hours before departure for check-in. Late arrival resulting in missed flights will not be refunded; travelers must purchase a one-way ticket for return at their own expense.
    8. The travel agency is not responsible for any accidents caused by the traveler’s own negligence or health condition.

    3️⃣ Payment & Cancellation Policy

    • Payment cancellation or changes cannot be made online.

    If you wish to cancel or change your payment, you must contact your reservation manager.


    3. Deposit Policy

    1. In accordance with the Standard Terms and Conditions for Overseas Travel, a deposit of 10% of the total package price must be paid within 3 days from the booking date.
    2. If the deposit payment is delayed, the reservation may be cancelled.
    3. The deposit amount may change depending on airline, hotel, or local circumstances, and the payment deadline may be moved forward.
    4. If you cancel during the cancellation fee period after paying the deposit, and the cancellation fee exceeds the deposit amount, you will be required to pay the difference.
    5. When booking during the cancellation fee period stated below, you must pay the cancellation fee amount as a deposit.

    4. Cancellation Fees (Standard Terms)

    • 30 days prior to departure (D-30 or earlier): Full refund of deposit
    • 20–29 days prior to departure (D-29~20): 10% of total trip cost
    • 10–19 days prior to departure (D-19~10): 15% of total trip cost
    • 8–9 days prior to departure (D-9~8): 20% of total trip cost
    • 1–7 days prior to departure (D-7~1): 30% of total trip cost
    • On departure day: 50% of total trip cost

    ※ In the event of trip cancellation by the traveler, cancellation fees will be charged in accordance with the travel terms and conditions [Article 16: Cancellation Before Departure].

    ※ This follows the Korea Fair Trade Commission Notice No. 2014-4 (Consumer Dispute Resolution Standards) and applies to bookings made on or after March 21, 2014.


    5. Cancellation Fees (Special Terms)

    • 30 days prior to departure (D-30 or earlier): 10% of total trip cost
    • 20–29 days prior to departure (D-29~20): 20% of total trip cost
    • 10–19 days prior to departure (D-19~10): 30% of total trip cost
    • 8–9 days prior to departure (D-9~8): 50% of total trip cost
    • 1–7 days prior to departure (D-7~1): 80% of total trip cost
    • On departure day: 100% of total trip cost

    ※ Once airline tickets, accommodation bookings, marathon entries, or program reservations are confirmed, additional cancellation fees will be charged according to each provider’s policy. For non-refundable reservations, no refund will be issued.


    6. Cancellation Submission Guidelines

    1. Cancellations can only be confirmed and processed during business hours.
    2. The effective date for calculating cancellation fees is based on business days (excluding weekends & public holidays).
    3. Cancellations submitted outside business hours will be considered received on the next business day.

    ※ Business Hours: Mon–Fri, 10:00–18:00 (Closed on weekends & public holidays)


    7. Proof of Cancellation Fees & Refund of Difference

    The customer may request a detailed breakdown and explanation of the cancellation fees (including the travel agency’s administrative costs). The travel agency must provide this explanation and documentation, and if there is any difference from the stated cancellation policy, the excess amount will be refunded.

    4️⃣ Passport & Visa Information

    1. Passport

    1. Please ensure your passport has at least 6 months of validity remaining.
    2. Even minor damage may result in disadvantages during immigration procedures, so please check your passport in advance.
    3. Passports without a signature may be suspected as forged. Make sure to sign in the designated signature field of your passport.
    4. Do not write anything other than your name in the signature field, including symbols or special characters (e.g., hearts, stars).
    5. Note: Standard passport issuance processing time is approximately 10 days.

    2. Visa

    Visa requirements will be provided individually according to the country or countries visited during each tour.


    3. Important Notice for Foreign Nationals / Dual Citizens

    For travelers holding foreign or dual nationality, immigration policies may vary depending on the destination country (including any transit countries). The traveler must confirm the relevant entry and exit requirements with the embassy of the respective country.

    5️⃣ Travel Insurance Information

    1. Travel insurance coverage automatically ends upon completion of the itinerary.
    2. Travel insurance is an indemnity-based policy and claims will be paid within the coverage limit after review; if you have multiple insurance policies with other companies, benefits will be paid proportionally.
    3. Insurance benefits are paid within the coverage limit, with deductibles subtracted before payment.
    4. Expenses not directly related to medical treatment (e.g., issuance of medical certificates, purchase of medical assistive devices) and non-covered medical expenses from dental or oriental medicine treatment during hospitalization or outpatient care in Korea are not covered.
    5. Outpatient visit costs and loss of income due to absence from work are not covered.
    6. In cases such as traffic accidents where treatment is not covered by the National Health Insurance Service, reimbursement will be made up to 40% of the treatment cost.
    7. For disability determinations resulting from an accident, a diagnosis of aftereffects should be obtained from a university hospital-level medical institution at least 6 months after the date of the accident.
    8. Loss or damage to personal belongings due to the traveler’s own negligence is not covered.
    9. Cash, securities, and physical assistive devices (including teeth, dentures, contact lenses) are not covered.
    10. Damage caused by scratches or scuffs is not covered.
    11. Travel insurance provides coverage only for accidents occurring during the travel period, and will not cover incidents arising from pre-existing conditions during travel (e.g., complications from existing illnesses).
    12. Please refer to the insurance policy terms and conditions for full details of coverage.

    6️⃣ Airport Use Guidelines

    1. Carry-on and Checked Baggage Information

    1. In accordance with the Ministry of Land, Infrastructure and Transport (MOLIT) security control guidelines for liquids, gels, and aerosols, passengers departing from the Republic of Korea on any international flight, including connecting or transit flights, are prohibited from carrying containers exceeding 100 ml (cc) of liquids, gels, or aerosols on board.
    2. If purchasing liquid, gel, or aerosol duty-free products, you may carry them on board regardless of volume as long as the duty-free security bag remains sealed. Do not open the package until arrival at your final destination.
    3. For more details, please refer to the MOLIT website: http://www.molit.go.kr (Tel. 1599-0001).
    4. When transiting through EU countries, all liquids purchased at airports or downtown duty-free shops located outside of the EU (including Incheon Airport) may be confiscated according to the regulations of the respective country.

    2. Animal, Livestock, and Plant Quarantine Information

    1. Most livestock products (e.g., sausages, jerky) and fresh fruits or vegetables (including fruit-bearing vegetables) are not allowed to be carried into Korea. Even items that are permitted must be declared to and inspected by the Animal and Plant Quarantine Agency (APQA). Illegal imports may result in a fine of up to KRW 10,000,000.
    2. Travelers who have visited overseas livestock farms or animal markets, as well as those who have traveled to countries with outbreaks of livestock diseases, must refrain from visiting livestock facilities upon return and must report to the APQA at the time of entry for disinfection procedures.

    7️⃣ Travel Safety Information

    Overseas Traveler Internet Registration System – “Donghaeng”

    By registering for the “Donghaeng” program, you can receive safety information about your destination, share your own safety status, and ensure that your family is notified in the event of an accident during your trip abroad.

    • Travelers register their personal details, domestic emergency contact, local contact information, and itinerary on the Overseas Safety Travel website.
    • Registered travelers will receive destination-specific safety information by email.
    • In the event of an incident or accident, registered contact details and location information help facilitate faster and more efficient consular assistance.
    • How to access the “Donghaeng” site: Visit www.0404.go.kr → “Donghaeng” → “Introduction to Donghaeng” → Sign Up.

    8️⃣ Korea Collect Call & Emergency Contact Information

    1. Korea Collect Call
